Making the Right Porsche Tuning Choice

Choosing the right performance enhancement for your Porsche is not easy. You need to be sure that get exactly what you want and exactly what you should expect from your new exciting tuning upgrade. To do this, and to be sure you get the correct information, call or email Steve McHale, our Technical Director, who will ask you a lot of questions which will allow him to completely understand your requirements.  Whether you have a specific idea of what you want, or just a goal that you’re not sure how to achieve - Steve will help you.

On the day your Porsche is coming in, if you did not book one of our hire cars and do not have a lift waiting for you, we will happily give you a lift to the local train station. 

Information is Power!

Each morning all our Porsche tuning technicians have a meeting to discuss the day ahead. The technician most suited to the type of work that your Porsche is in for will be allocated to the job of tuning your Porsche. Steve will then give a detailed brief to your technician.

Your Porsche will now be checked for full throttle movement, general condition of the engine, brakes and suspension, and then we run your Porsche on our chassis dyno machine to check its current power output.  All these checks are important and once we are happy that your Porsche is in good working order we can start the work. 

Preparing for Your Porsche Tuning Upgrade

Depending upon which tuning upgrade package you have opted for, Steve will have already sourced the correct parts that will be used. The parts will have been carefully selected from all over the world to make sure you get the best quality and reliability from your Porsche. In some cases price will not be an issue when it comes down to quality, but we will endeavour to do our best for you. We may even use parts that have come from the results of our own research and development, if they are more suitable.

Testing, Testing

Once all the tuning work has been completed, your Porsche will be run on our dyno, once again, to check and test your new performance upgrades. At this stage we will make any final adjustments that may be required.

Your Porsche is then taken on a test drive with the route chosen to suit the type of tuning work that has been done. Driving in traffic during the rush hour can be difficult but our test drivers are very careful and safe at all times, whilst still making sure that your Porsche is performing as it should.

The Finishing Touch

With the test drive completed and the job card and report finished, the technician hands the paperwork back to our service communicator who will finalise all the costs, checking that all the tuning work has been completed as you requested.  A final quality check is completed at this point.

One of our four young, enthusiastic assistants will now clean your Porsche, both inside and out, using carefully selected products.  While this is going on, we will phone you to let you know that your Porsche is ready for collection

Off You Go!

If at this point, if you have time, we will explain to you the final costs which will be the same as your quote, or we can discuss it when you arrive to collect your Porsche.  You will also be offered advice for the future plus answers to any questions that you may have.  You are then escorted to your Porsche and you can now experience the high quality of workmanship whilst driving away with the confidence that all the tuning work has been completed properly and to your requirements.
